Just got in a big order of paint. Making notes in my sketchbook (devoted to color swatches) of the new colors and combinations with the old ones. Fun, Fun, Fun.

- My mother always said I'd be an artist. I struggled as a 20 something trying to make a living instead. When she died in 1992, I decided I wanted to live a better life. Took some classes, sold some paintings, and quit my job. When I told another artist friend, "I hope I make it," he said, "You will, you have to." He was right. It's been a great decision.

This is quite useful.
I haven't done this will my oils or watercolours (ok, I confess that don't have the patience), but I do have some colour swatches of my pastels.
