I have finished a group of big paintings in the last week. Here's another of them. I call this "Reflecting Sister Pond," because the trees look like sisters to me. Take a look at the "personalities" of the trees.

Here's a new painting I have been working on for Vista Lights. It is our annual crawl throughout the Vista area. Come and see me at Vista Studios (808 Lady Street, Columbia, SC) on November 19 at 5-10 pm.

This a painting of my Aunt Mary's porch on Sullivan's Island, SC. This house has been our family for generations and is the oldest house on Sullivan's Island. I painted this image before on a smaller scale and decided to make a larger work out of it.
I am very happy to let you know that my work is now being represented by Chameleon Art Gallery in Darlington, SC. Heather Jordan owns the gallery, and I look forward to working with her. Here are some photos and a link to the gallery.
My biggest show of the year is almost here. The Piccolo Spoleto's Outdoor Juried Art Exhibition is held on Marion Square (Corner of Calhoun and Meeting Streets) in Charleston, SC. The dates are May 22 - June 7. Hours are 9am-5pm. Can't wait to get this show on the road! : )
I saw these two landscapes when my sister moved to her new house. This is just down the road from her. I keep watching that spot, but nothing has been as pretty as the first time I saw it. Funny how it works like that!

When preparing to show in Charleston, SC, I always do some small palmetto trees. We are, after all, the palmetto state! It's fun playing with this great shape with lots of different color combinations.
This is my home. I was raised on Sullivan's Island, SC, and this is my favorite spot there. This is my largest painting ever and the most vivid color ever. An artist friend told me that I would be brave to leave it like this instead of "finishing" it. Well, that's how it got it's title, "Home of the Brave." Hope you like it.
