New Painting: As the Crow Flies

This is another painting from my cliche series.  It was included in an exhibition with my studio mates at Vista Studios, 808 Lady, Columbia, SC.  My favorite part is the movement in the bird. There seems to be some state of emergency.  He is lifting quickly. 

Carolina Strong

Carolina Strong was painted while the rain kept falling.  It is my response as an artist to the floods.  My state is strong - its people and its land.  I am so proud of us when we are called to action.

Reflecting Sister Pond

Blazing Autumn

My biggest show of the year is almost here. The Piccolo Spoleto's Outdoor Juried Art Exhibition is held on Marion Square (Corner of Calhoun and Meeting Streets) in Charleston, SC. The dates are May 22 - June 7. Hours are 9am-5pm. Can't wait to get this show on the road! : )

I saw these two landscapes when my sister moved to her new house. This is just down the road from her. I keep watching that spot, but nothing has been as pretty as the first time I saw it. Funny how it works like that!
